Connecting Xero

How to connect Xero in your Integrations page

Before You Begin:

Before connecting Xero, ensure:

-   You can access the Xero organisation you want to connect
-   You have sufficient permissions within Xero to authorise integrations
-   Your BCB account has been created and onboarded

Connect Xero:

Step 1. Open the Integration Centre
Navigate to: Setup -> Integration Centre

Step 2: Select Xero
Locate the Xero Integration card and select Connect

Step 3: Sign into Xero
You will be redirected to Xero. Log in using the account connected to the organisation you wish to use

Step 4: Select your Organisation
If your Xero account can access multiple organisations, choose the organisation you'd like to connect.

Step 5: Grant Access
Review the permissions requested and authorise the connection.
Once approved, you'll be returned to BCB.

Running Your First Sync

Once Xero has been connected:
1.   Open the Integration Centre
2.   Locate Xero
3.   Select Sync Now

The first sync may take longer than future syncs as BCB imports your accounting information for the first time.

What Happens After Syncing?

After syncing completes, your Xero information becomes available throughout BCB.

Depending on your data, you may see:
-   Accounts appear in Accounts & Balances
-   Categories become available in Categories
-   Transactions flow into Cashflow
-   Contacts become available for forecasting and planning

What You'll See in BCB

Depending on the information available within your Xero organisation, you may see:

Accounts & Balances
Imported account information can contribute to your Accounts & Balances view.

Categories

Transactions

Cashflow Forecast
Imported accounting information helps build your baseline forecast and provides the foundation for future planning.
