Why Does Cashflow Category Breakdown Show "$0 Out of $5,000"?
Understand why Cashflow Category Breakdown may display values like $0 out of $5,000 and how actual transactions are compared against projected transactions.
Understanding Category Breakdown Amounts
Before you Begin
- Category Breakdown compares Actual Transactions against Projected Transactions.
- Amounts are displayed for the selected category and reporting period
What Does "$0 out of $5,000" Mean?
In the Cashflow view you may see a value such as:
$0 out of $5000

This means:
- $5,000 has been projected for the selected category and period in your projected transactions
- No actual transactions have been recorded against that category and period.
- The $0 amount is not your bank balance.
Example:
You create projected material costs of $5,000 for October.
If no actual transactions have been entered manually or synced from your accounting software, the Cashflow Category Breakdown will display:
$0 out of $5,000
This represents:
- Actual Transactions: $0
- Projected Transactions: $5,000

- As soon as a Transaction is added, this will be updated

Important Information
- This does not indicate a missing invoice or payment.
- It simply means no actual transactions have been recorded against the projected amount in this period so far.
- Actual values increase as transactions are manually entered or synced from an accounting integration.
